Dr. John Townsend posted this update on his Facebook page yesterday and I thought I’d share it:
Today is “no comparisons” day! You are not allowed to compare your success, failure, weight, finances, marriage, kids or dating, to another person. Living by comparison is futile because it focuses you on others, which you can’t change anyway, and someone else is always doing better. Use that energy to compare yourself to the person you aspire to be. See where you are on your own growth and success track!
I was thinking about this a few weeks ago, comparing myself to others, but I was eventually starting to come to this conclusion, so it’s cool he posted it.
