I was checking out the WordPress.org plungin directory and found these useful plugins:
- Contact Form 7: A useful contact form plugin for wordpress which allows your vistors to send you messages through a form, rather than having to post your email address on your blog and receive all the spam.
- Yet Another Related Posts Plugin: This plugin will add a list of related blog posts at the end of all your posts, based on categories, tags, and a couple of other variables in its algorithm. Good for keeping visitors on your site longer.
- Google XML Sitemaps: Improves Google’s, Yahoo! and Bing’s ability to crawl your website and get your posts in search results. It will also inform Google when you have updated your blog so that new entries get crawled faster.
Those are the three plugins I tried this weekend. There are more great plugins out there like WPtouch iPhone Theme, which I will try out next weekend. Let me know what are your favourite WordPress plugins.
