While this really isn’t any kind of security or privacy violation, it is a lot of fun. Using the URL structure of Mr. Tweet, you can get a list of the influencers and people anyone on Twitter should be following. The general URL structure is as follows:
http://mrtweet.net/report/{twittername}
By changing the Twitter name of the URL for my report, I was able to see who people like Barack Obama, Leo Laporte and Kevin Rose should be following.
I say this isn’t a privacy violation because really, all of this information is available to the public through the Twitter API. Although, I can easily see some dumb Wall Street Journal journalist learning about this and writing an article about how anyone on the Internet can break into Barack Obama’s private data.
Heh… Robert Scoble is Barack Obama’s #2 influencer.
