Hotspot Shield is my best friend

Some people like to use Hotspot Shield (http://www.hotspotshield.com/) to get past the american IP country restriction.

But I was wondering too if restricting content by region/country is against net neutrality principles.

Also, when it comes to TV shows, I know that the problem isn't the American production companies, but rather the Canadian broadcasters like CTV, Global and CBC who own the rights to the various shows.

Can you get Netflix in Canada, though? Can't get Hulu or most any other streaming media from the states… they've got to get all of that copyright crap worked out before any of this is feasible in Canada… or anywhere else for that matter.
