Just my thoughts as I open my inbox this morning, but it seems to me that Cisco is a company that cannot connect with it’s customers. The only thing I ever hear from them is a twice a week email message about some web conference about some abstract product line, which leads me to always end up asking myself, why would I, or my business need this unified junk?
To make it worse, if I actually want to find out what the email is talking about, I have to click on a link and register for the conference (which involves filling out data about myself which they probably already have). And once I do that, I find out the conference takes place a week from now.
Why can’t they just put a link to a Youtube video I can watch right now without filling out an annoying form? I bet a clever VAR could sell a lot of Cisco equipment by using a Twitter account and a Youtube account. Just make some good videos actually showing how the stuff is useful, and make it easily accessible.
