Open letter to Larry Page and Sergey Brin

by Brian on 10/25/2008

Here is a letter I wrote to Larry Page and Sergey Brin, co-founders of Google Inc. I couldn’t find their direct emails on the web, so I just emailed to their press email and decided to post it on my blog so that it would also get public attention:

Dear Larry and Sergey,

As you are probably aware, a 15 year old in Barrie, Ontario, Canada recently went missing. I was wondering if Google would be willing to help in the search for this missing teen by enabling Google Earth to generate frequently updated high resolutions satellite photos of the respective search areas to the public–or even make available achieved images of the area.

If I recall in the past, Google has done this for other missing person cases and usually huge communities on the Internet form to help in the search.

Thank you for your consideration and time! Google is a company that wants to organize the words data, and I in know doubt believe that one day you guys will make finding missing children as easy as typing their name in a search box.

Brian.
