I decided to upgrade to the beta of Ubuntu 8.04 since it’s going to be released in 15 days. It looks really nice. First thing I noticed is prettier login screen, smoother fonts, shadows around windows, and Firefox 3 is nice. Also the upgrade was pretty painless–no issues. I learned my lesson from the last release not to do remote upgrades.
