A Useful Mac OS X Command

by Brian on 12/14/2007

If you’ve just switched from Windows to Mac OS X, you’re probably wondering how do you switch between windows of the same application. Trying cmd + tab just doesn’t seem to work like the Windows version of alt + tab (it switches between applications rather than windows).

What you want to use is:

cmd + `

Which will switch between windows of the same application. Note that ` is the key just above tab, which also has the ~ tilde on it.
