So I went to turn on my iPod today, and it wouldn’t turn on. I figured at first that it wasn’t starting because the battery wasn’t charged, so I put it on the charger. Later, and an hour or so it still wouldn’t turn on, so I went on Google to try to figure out how to reset it. Still no luck. I wasn’t too worried about it since I have a two year FutureShop warranty on it. Anyway, eventually I figured out to reset it. You have to hold down the Menu button and the middle select button, not the menu and play buttons.
Among the other things I fixed today, I fixed the phone system of a fast food delivery restaurant. It doesn’t sound like a huge deal to me, since the place is twenty hours away. My mind is still trying to grasp how all this works. I’m twenty hours away here in Thunder Bay, someone calls me, and then I fix the phones. Now, a bunch of people won’t get sent home from work because of the phones being down, and probably some kids will still get delivery food for their birthday party tonight. I’m a hero!
But it doesn’t really feel like anything happened because I’m here in Thunder Bay, sitting in my backyard. It’s really crazy how connected we are.
