Saving the Sea Dragon

by Brian on 7/6/2005

I’ve been keeping this a secret for some time now, but I guess some things eventually need to be shared.

On Sunday, I got to ride on a rocket ship. We were on a mission to Pluto to rescue a baby sea dragon. As it turns out, rocket ship rides are bumpy so it’s important to wear your seat belt, but I was privileged to have a good driver. Pluto was a far and long journey, but when we got there it was very cold. The baby sea dragon was friendly, and small, so we where able to carry it in our hands back to the rocket ship. Inside the ship the sea dragon would live and play in the cargo bay with its mommy.

Next we decided to go to Saturn because Saturn has rings. There we encountered danger, but had antennas to protect us. On Saturn we also found a treasure, but it was heavy so it required both of us to carry it back to the rocket ship.

But as much as intrepid rocket ship adventures are astounding, sadly space explorers do need to eat, and they must eat real food.

Ya… I was playing with Keilan on Sunday. Earlier that day we were playing bad guys and good guys, and the temptation to teach little kids bad words to the despair of their parents was too overwhelming, so I gave in. Yup, I told Keilan that mommy and daddy would be very impressed if we changed the name of the game to protagonist and antagonist. Next, I think I’m going to teach Keilan that a rough rocket ship landing alludes to a dangerous mission ahead on the planet Neptune. By the time I’m through with him he’ll be the first three year old to understand the beauty of naughty words such as irony and allegory.

His imagination will grow in pathetic fallacy.
