On Sunday I’m teaching the story for Redwood Kids. The story is about the birth of Moses, and how his mother placed him in a basket and set him out to a float in the Nile River. The theme of this Sunday is to trust in God.
So as I’m reading through Exodus 2, I can’t help but think I am this baby placed inside a basket. Life is like the river, and it doesn’t make sense. Put your baby in a basket; that’s playing it safe.
And yet, as a little baby, I shall trust that this river is taking me to the place I should be. The place where God wants me to be.
Who can control a river? Definitely not me. But God does.
