I found something really cool that I want everyone to try.
Goto this site called 43things.com. On this site you will enter in 43 things that you want to do with your life–well, it doesn’t have be that many. Then it will connect you with other people on the site who want to do those 43 same things. Also, you can blog about what you have accomplished so far in reaching those goals, and see what other people have written in their own quest to accomplish those goals. You can also read what people who have accomplished those goals thought about them.
I think this is a pretty cool site, and I’m just starting to play with it. You can see my goals here.
This site also uses tags, something that has really started to catch my attention. Tags are basically words you attach to an object that describe it–pretty much the same thing as keywords. I will not be surprised if we see tags used more and more often on online services–it seems to becoming something that’s coming into the culture. On more and more sites, such as flickr.com, I’m seeing pages like the one on 43things.com, where you have a list of words in different size fonts. The different font sizes represent the weighting of that particular tag.
Tagging seems to be a trend in online communities.
If you publish your list on 43things.com, post the URL of your list, or your username, as a comment to this post so that I can check out your list.
