Christmas Day

So what do I do on Christmas Day? Well I didn’t go to our regular “family” get together at my grandparents. I didn’t go for a few reasons: van not working, so my transportation was limited; and there would have been too many people there, maybe over twenty, which is too much for me. I stayed home. I guess our real family get together will be when my brother and his wife get here, so I didn’t feel too bad for not going.

This evening I did a little bit of programming. I programmed a little script in PHP that will make it possible for us to Podcast Plunge sermons. My script simplifies the process so all that needs to be done is: save the .mp3 file with ID3 tags describing the sermon, and then upload it to the appropriate directory. That’s it. I could even make it update the audio page on the plunge site if that would make things easier.

Also, I made an RSS feed for Plunge events. So if you have a feed reader you can easily keep track of upcoming events. It might even be possible to somehow sync the feed with a PDA, or cellphone, so that you have new events automatically added to your calendar. I’m sure someone will think of that eventually.

hey Brian, haven’t heard from you in awhile and I was just wondering if
you wanted to go for coffee before I head back to Calgary? Email me you’re interested.
