Why, you ask? Man, sometimes its hard not to. When you've put yourself right in the path of the Spirit, and you're just filled to the brim, how can you do anything but?
The flip-side of that? When you're not filled with the spirit? Its easy not to. Unfortunately, it also makes you feel like crap.
I think it really comes down to why not love them? Why even differentiate between Christian or not, before we delegate love? Why do we love Christians? A better question would be a more nihilistic "Why do we love anyone?"
I do it as a legalistic interpretation of Christ's "Greaat Commission", and that if I love enough people in my lifetime, then when I get to the ol' pearlies, I'll get let in on bonus 'conversion' points.... Obviously, I'm bein' sarcastic.
I'm not sure what I'm gibbering on about... I just think that sometimes, instead of having to feel "peace, joy, love, faithfulness and gentleness" in order to help in loving people, I find that they don't encourage, but spring from loving people. Its circular, too. You don't HAVE to be joyful to love, but it helps, and loving encourages joyfullness, etc.
Im done. Sorry for taking up space.
