I wrote three exams so far and I have three more to go. I think my official opinion on exams is that they’re evil because they ruin all enthusiasm that you could possibly have for the course–that is if you don’t spend enough time practicing for the exam. I think the way I feel when I’m writing an exam is a measure of how much time I’ve spent on the subject outside of class. This was a really hard term because I had one too many courses and they were both three hour evening courses. Last term was better since I had one fewer courses; it really makes a difference.
