Well, I know I haven’t posted as much in this journal as I should have, that’s because I’ve been paying a lot of attention on the sessions rather than doing other stuff, but at least I get some time in the mornings to reflect on things. My first thought by far is just that this conference is very well planned and organized, and it has been done it a way that precisely accomplishes the objectives of SYAB. In fact, the room where we are meetings reminds me like one of those conferences you see on CPAC, only not as boring. Yesterday, we finished at around 4:00pm, then we quickly exchanged gifts from our local municipalities, I gave away some amethyst to everyone (last year I gave away agate, so it’s nice to giveaway more rocks).
What has been good about this conference is the interaction between the delegates (us) and the government officials. Also, the dialogues between us and the government has been about specific issues, programmes, and services, and this is what I think has made this conference even better than the first SYAB conference.
