Last night I learned that king sized beds are wonderful; so much room! Anyway, things have been great. The kick off reception yesterday was great. We got to talk to and meet a lot of interesting people: new committee members, old committee members, and government people too. Yesterday, I learned something interesting about Canada that I never knew, how Canadian government offices are organized, that is that below the cabinet minister, who is an elected official, are deputy ministers who are non-political and non-partisan. Thats pretty neat. Oh ya, I also rediscovered how Jacuzzis are nice on the back.
So now Im going to eat breakfast in a few minutes then the actual conference (work part) begins.
